Who I Am
Aloha
Hello, my name is Ashley Meadows, I am a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, Private Chef, Yoga Instructor, and Shamanic Kambo Practitioner born and raised in Marin County, just north of San Francisco.
I graduated from the International Culinary Center in Manhattan in 2008. It was there that I was first introduced to Ayurveda and the concept of using food as medicine.
After working as a chef for several years, I decided I wanted to pursue my Spiritual practices of yoga and Shamanism so I underwent training with Chief Golden Feather on the Big Island of Hawaii. While in reflective meditation, during this time, I had a moment of clarity where I saw my life and it wasn't headed in the right direction and I decided, then and there, to make a big change as I felt a calling to heal.
I moved to Hawai'i to continue my deep shadow work. Here, I came to the realization I needed to start expanding my education again. I studied with Dr. Henry Quesada working with Kambo medicine. I traveled to Thailand and complete my 200-hour multi-style yoga teacher training studying Traditional Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Arial Swing, and Sup Yoga practices. It was here that I was again introduced to Ayurveda again and my dharma aligned. I realized Ayurveda, the sister science of Yoga, combined all the aspects of holistic medicine, nutrition, food, lifestyle, and spiritual practices I had been searching for my entire existence. Upon completion of my yoga teacher training, I came back to California to continue my education to attain my Doctorate at the California College of Ayurveda where I am currently an Intern Practitioner.
In Ayurveda, I have found happiness, health, and balance in life. I am honored and humbled you are here and I look forward to sharing this journey with you together.
Namaste
